The Comprehensive Plan is our community’s guide for the future of Nelson County. The Plan establishes a shared vision and provides the direction to achieve that vision. It is the County’s most important document for navigating growth, development, and change.
Your Nelson 2042 Comprehensive Plan is complete!
Following a public hearing on March 20, 2024, the Nelson County Board of Supervisors voted to adopt the Nelson 2042 Comprehensive Plan on April 09, 2042.
The Nelson 2042 team would like to thank all of the individuals who contributed to help make the plan the best vision for the future of Nelson County. This includes the Nelson County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission, Nelson County staff members, community leaders and organizers, and most importantly all of the Nelson County community members! Thank you!
The plan is undergoing some last minute editorial changes and review by the Team. Once that process is complete, the Nelson 2042 Comprehensive Plan will be posted here for all to view.
