Participate in a workshop focused on zoning needs for the County. Both workshops are identical, no need to attend both!

Drafting Worksessions
Berkley Group will facilitate review and discussion of individual drafted articles of the ordinance in a series of worksessions. Worksessions are open to the public, but there will be no comment period.

Focus Group Listening Sessions
A series of targeted listening sessions with citizen groups and experts in their fields.

Open House
A public open house (drop-in from 5:30-7:30) will be held at the Nelson Center in Lovingston to reveal the compiled draft ordinance.
A short presentation at 5:30 p.m. will be followed by activities to obtain public feedback. Staff will be available for discussion. Click here for the Agenda.
Fall 2026
Pre-adoption Joint Worksession
A final worksession before the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors hold public hearings to vote on the new ordinance.
Fall/Winter 2026
Planning Commission Public Hearing
TBA - The Planning Commission will review the draft ordinance and take public comment before giving its recommendation for adoption to the Board of Supervisors.
Fall/Winter 2026
Board of Supervisors Public Hearing & Adoption of the Ordinance
TBA - After hearing public comment, the Board will vote on whether or not to adopt the Plan.
